Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on February 24, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Six- teenth Region (Fort Worth, Texas). On February 27, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of Na- tional Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total number of ballots counted------------------------------ 76 Total number of votes for Oil Workers International Union, Local 258-------------------------------------------------- 25 Total number of votes against Oil Workers International Union, Local 258-------------------------------------------------- 51 Total number of void ballots--------------------------------- 0 Total number of blank ballots-------------------------------- 0 Total number of challenged ballots--------------------------- 0 Total number of eligibles------------------------------------- 77 The results of the election show that no collective bargaining rep- resentative has been selected by a majority of the employees in the appropriate unit.
