R-1619 and R-1620 THIRD AMENDMENT TO SECOND DIRECTION OF ELECTION July 1, 1940 On February 1, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceedings.' On February 19, 1940, the Board issued an Amendment to its Direction of Election.2 On April 8, 1940, the Board issued a Supplemental Decision and Second Direction of Elec- tion,3 directing that a run-off election be held within thirty (30) days from the date of the Second Direction, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Twenty-first Region (Los An- geles, California). On May 3, 1940, the Board issued an Amendment to its Second Direction of Election 4 providing that the run-off election. should be held within sixty (60) days from the date of the Second Direction of Election instead of within thirty (30) days therefrom; and on June 3, 1940, the Board issued a Second Amendment 5 to the said Second Direction of Election providing that the run-off election should be held within ninety (90) days from the date of the. Second Direction of Election. At the request of the Regional Director for the Twenty-first Region, the Board hereby further amends its Second Direction of Election, as amended, by striking therefrom the words "not later than ninety (90) 120 N.L.
