Pur- suant to the Third Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on February 1, 1940, under the direction and super- vision of the Regional Director for the Ninth Region (Cincinnati, Ohio). On February 5, 1940, the Regional Director acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or exceptions to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. No. 40, Amalga- mated Association of Iron, Steel and Tin Workers of North America, through Steel Workers Organizing Committee has been designated and selected by a . majority of the. employees of Inter- national Nickel Company, Inc., at its Huntington, West Virginia, plant, who are paid on an hourly, piece, or tonnage basis except watchmen, chemists, mill inspectors, and cooperative students, as their representative for the, purposes of collective bargaining, and that pur- suant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Square Deal Lodge No. 40, Amalgamated Association of Iron, Steel and Tin Workers of North America, through Steel Workers Organizing Com- mittee, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
