LOUIS LOCAL Case No. R-1891 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES August 19, 1940 On July 16, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on July 31, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fourteenth Region (St. Louis, Missouri). On August 2, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regula- tions-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties her Election Report. Full opportunity to participate in the conduct of the election and to make challenges was afforded all parties. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and its results the Regional Director reported as follows: (The number of employees who were eligible to vote was 19.) Reid and clerical employees who do part-time work before the microphone in the employ of said Company as actors, singers, or announcers, but excluding "hillbillies" and Blaine Cornwell, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, American Federation of Radio Artists, St. Louis Local, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
