Case No. R-1648 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES February 8, 1940 On December 26, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election an election by secret ballot was conducted on January 20, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On January 22, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. B., No. 24. 268 STANDARD STEEL SPRING COMPANY 269 Indiana, plant of Standard Steel Spring Company, excluding fore- men, clerical and office employees, watchmen, and supervisors with power to hire or discharge or with authority to recommend hiring or discharge, as :their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Lodge No. 2143, Amalgamated Association of Iron, Steel and Tin Workers of North America, of Steel Workers Organizing Committee, affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations, is the exclusive repre- sentative of all, such employees for the purposes of collective bargain- ing with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
