CERTIFICATIONS OF REPRESENTATIVES
January N1, 1940
On November 6, 1939, the National Labor Relations Board, herein
called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Elections in the
above-entitled proceedings.' Pursuant to the Direction of Elections,
separate elections by secret ballot were conducted on December 4,
1939, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director
for the Nineteenth Region (Seattle, Washington). On December 14,
1939, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9,
of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
issued and duly served upon the parties to the respective proceedings
separate Election Reports. No objections to the conduct of the bal-
lots-or the Election Reports have been filed by any of the parties.
As to the balloting and the results thereof, the Regional Director
reported as follows :

Labor Relations Board by Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Rela-
tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant 'to Article III, Sections 8 and 9,
of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Cannery Workers Union, Local 21173,
A. F. of L. has been designated and selected by a majority of all can-
nery workers and warehouse employees of Sebastian Stuart Fish Co.
at Anacortes, excluding office employees, supervisory employees who
have the authority to hire and discharge, employees who in the course
of their duties are expected to recommend the hiring or discharge of
employees, and machinists and machinists' helpers, as their representa-
tive for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to
Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Cannery Workers
Union, Local 21173, A. F. of L., is the exclusive representative of all
such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to
rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of
employment ;
IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Cannery Workers Union, Local 21173,
A.F. of L. has been designated and selected by a majority of all can-
nery workers and warehouse employees of Farwest Fishermen, Inc.,
at Anacortes, excluding office employees, supervisory employees who
have the authority to hire and discharge, employees who in the course

sentative for the purposes. of collective bargaining and that, pursuant

such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to
rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of

A. F. of L. has been designated and selected by a majority of all can-
nery workers and warehouse employees of Anacortes Canning Co. at
Anacortes, excluding office employees, supervisory employees who have
the authority to hire and discharge, employees who in the course of
their duties are expected to recommend the hiring or discharge of
employees, and machinists and machinists' helpers, as their representa-
tive for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to
Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Cannery Workers
Union, Local 21173, A. F. of L., is the exclusive representative of all
such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to
rates of pay, wages, .hours of employment, and other conditions of
employment.
