Louis, MISSOURI, AFFILIATED WITH THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF LABOR. - Case No. R-2059 CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES November 18, 1940 On October 10, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled proceeding.' Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted'on October 25, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Four- teenth Region (St. Louis, Missouri). On October 28, 1940, the Re- gional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report on the ballot. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : - (The number of employees who were eligible to vote was 843.) B,No.3. 5 6 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Chemical Workers' Union No. 21536, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, has been desig- nated and selected by a majority of all employees of Plant A of Monsanto Chemical Company, St. Louis, Missouri, who are paid on an hourly rate basis in the production, maintenance, power, service, warehouse, and shipping divisions, including all head operators, lead men, and pushers, but excluding foremen, assistant foremen, mem- bers of the plant police force, plant office porters, temporary em- ployees, permanent laboratory employees, relief night superintend- ents, watchmen, and clerical employees, as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Act, Chemical Workers' Union No. 21536, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in re- spect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other condi- tions of employment.
