CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES

On August 23, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board issued
.its Decision and Direction of Elections in the above-entitled pro-
ceedings.) Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, separate elections
by secret ballot were conducted on September 20, 1940, under the di-
rection and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fourteenth
Region (St. Louis, Missouri) and the Regional Director for the
Second Region (New York City), respectively. On September 23
and 24, 1940, respectively, the Regional Directors for the Second and
Fourteenth Regions, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of
-National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as
amended, issued separate Election Reports, respective copies of which
were duly served upon the parties to the respective proceedings. No
objections to the conduct of the ballots or the Election Reports have
been filed by any of the parties.
As to the balloting and the results thereof, the respective Regional
Directors reported as follows :

tions Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9,
of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2,

IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that American Federationof Industrial and
Ordinary Insurance Agents Union No. 21571; East St. Louis and
Vicinity, Illinois, has been designated and selected by a majority, of
all the industrial insurance agents of John Hancock Mutual Life
'Insu'rance Company in -its East St. Louis, Illinois, district office, in-
cluding junior agents but excluding supervisory, clerical, and main-
tenance employees, as their representative for the 'purposes of
collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section
9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, American Federation of
Industrial and Ordinary Insurance Agents Union No. 21571, East
St. Louis and Vicinity, Illinois, is the exclusive representative of all
such' employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect
to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions
of employment; and
IT IS ALSO HEREBY CERTIFIED that Industrial Insurance Agents
Union Local No. 84 of the United Office and Professional Workers
of America has been designated and selected by a majority of all the
industrial insurance agents of John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance
Company in its Hoboken, New Jersey, district office, including junior
agents but excluding managers, assistant managers, clerical, super-
visory, and maintenance employees, as their representative for the
purposes of collective bargaining, and that, pursuant to the provi-

sions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Industrial
Insurance Agents Union Local No. 84 of the United Office and Pro-
fessional Workers of America is the exclusive representative of all

of employment.
