Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on May 8, 1940, under the, direction andrsuperyision of the Regional Director, for the,.Thirteenth Region (Chicago, Illinois). On May-14, 1940, -the Regional Director,. acting pursuant, to Article III, Section. 9, of National Labor Relations Board, Rules and, Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly, served upon the parties an Election Report. As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported as follows : Total number of ballots cast -------------------------------- 4166 Total number on eligibility listL ____________________________ 173 Total number of ballots cast for the Union__________________ 59 Total number of ballots cast against the Union______________ 101 Total number of challenged ballots__________________________ 6 Total number of blank ballots_______________________________ 0 Total number of void ballots_______________________________ 0 On June 12, 1940, International Printing Pressmen and Assistants' Union,' Boa and Carton Local #415, herein called the Union, filed with the Regional Director Objections to the Election Report. On June 20, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations -Series 2, as amended, issued a report on Objections to the Election Report. On June 24, 1940, J. H. Stone, Norman H. Stone, Marvin H. Stone and Jerome H. Stone, Jr., doing business as J. H. Stone & 122NLRB850. 25 N. L. R. B., No. 7. 19 20 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD Sons, filed a Motion for Additions to be Incorporated in the Report on Objections to the Election Report. The motion is hereby denied. We have considered the objections of the Union and the Regional Director's Report thereon and we are of the opinion that in this proceeding on Objections to the Election Report, the objections raise no substantial and material issues with respect to the conduct of the election. The objections are hereby overruled. The results of the election show that no collective bargaining rep- resentative has been selected by a majority of the employees. The petition for investigation and_ certification of representatives of em- ployees of J. H. Stone, Norman H. Stone, Marvin H. Stone and Jerome H. Stone, Jr., doing business as J. H. Stone & Sons, Chicago, Illinois, will therefore be dismissed. ORDER By virtue of Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of Na- tional Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT, Is HEREBY ORDERED that the petition for' investigation and cer- tification of representatives' of employees of J.
