On March 30, 1940, the Board issued a Sup- plemental Decision and Second Direction of Election,2 setting forth the results of the original election conducted pursuant to the previous Direction, and directing a further election because of the indecisive result of the balloting. Pursuant to the Second Direction of Elec- tion, an election by secret ballot was conducted on April 12, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Fourth Region (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). On April 15, 1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations- Series 2, as amended, issued an Election Report, copies of which were duly served upon the parties. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. B., No. 32. 483 484 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARD of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Local Number 479, United Automobile Workers of America, affiliated with Congress of Industrial Organiza- tions, has been designated and selected, as their representative'for the purposes of collective bargaining, by a majority of all the hourly paid employees of Hall-Aluminum Aircraft Corporation, Bristol, Pennsylvania, engaged in production and maintenance, except f ore- men, subforemen, dispatchers, engineers, officers of the company, and its clerical staff, including inspectors, draftsmen, and blueprint oper- ators; and that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act, Local Number 479, United Automobile Workers of America, affiliated with Congress of Industrial Organi- zations, is the exclusive representative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment. .
