Case No. B-1817 AMENDMENT TO DECISION AND CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES July 9, 1940 On May 28, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election 1 in the above- entitled proceeding. The Board hereby amends Section V, footnote 11, of its Decision by striking therefrom the words "Pursuant to a strike settlement between the Company and the CIO-UAW," and substituting therefor the words "The record discloses that." Pursuant to the Direction of Election an election by secret,ballot was conducted on June 21, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Twenty-first Region (Los Angeles, California). On June 25,1940, the Regional Director, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued and duly served upon the parties his Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot- ing or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. R B No. 31 262 GENERAL MOTORS SALES CORPORATION 263 49 Stat. 449, and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that International Union, United Automobile Workers of America, affiliated with the C. I. 0., has been designated and selected by a majority of all warehouse employees of General Motors Sales Corporation (General Motors Parts Division), Los Angeles, California, including night watchmen and warehouse clerks, but excluding order-department office employees, special day watch- men, foremen and assistant foremen, and all other persons working in a supervisory capacity, including those who have the power to hire and discharge, and those whose duties include recommendation as to hiring and discharging, _as their representative for the purposes of collective bargaining and that, pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the Na- tional Labor Relations Act, International Union, United Automobile Workers of America, affiliated with the C. I. 0., is the exclusive repre- sentative of all such employees for the purposes of collective bar- gaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and .other conditions of employment.
