CERTIFICATION OF REPRESENTATIVES

On March 27, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board issued
its Decision and Direction of Election in the above-entitled pro-
ceeding.) Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by
secret ballot was conducted on April 15, 1940, under the direction
and supervision of the Regional Director for the Twentieth Region
(San Francisco, California). On April 16, 1940, the Regional Direc-
tor, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor
Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, issued
and duly served upon the parties her Election Report. Full oppor-
tunity to participate in the conduct of the election and to make
challenges was afforded all parties. No objections to the conduct
of the ballot or to the Election Report have been filed by any of
the parties.
As to the balloting and its results, the Regional Director reported

IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that Amalgamated Association of Iron,
Steel & Tin Workers of North America, Lodge 1684, through the
Steel Workers Organizing Committee, C. I. 0., has been designated
and selected by a majority of the production and maintenance em-
ployees of Electrogas Furnace Co., San Francisco, California, exclud-
ing superintendents, managers, bookkeepers, purchasing agents, order
clerks, stenographers, salesmen, and Foreman Rosenbaum, as their
representative, for the purposes of collective bargaining, and that,
pursuant to Section 9 (a) of the National Labor Relations Act,
Amalgamated Association of Iron, Steel & Tin Workers of North
America, Lodge 1684, through the Steel Workers Organizing Com-
mittee, C. I. 0., is the exclusive representative of all such employees
for the purposes of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay,
wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
