Pursuant to the Direction of Elections, as amended, elections by secret ballot were conducted on April 4 and April 5, 1940, under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Second Region (New York City). I. 0., hereinafter called the Amalgamated, filed with the Regional Director, Objections to Conduct of Elections and to Election Report. On June 8, 1940, the Regional Director, act- ing pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as -amended, issued and duly served upon the parties a Report on Objections. On June 14, 1940, the Brotherhood of Consolidated Edison Employees, hereinafter called the Brotherhood, and on June 15, 1940, the employer Companies, filed with the Board their, respective responses to said Objections. The Board has considered the Objections of the Amalgamated, the responses of the Brotherhood and the employer Companies thereto, and the Regional Director's report thereon. We find that the Objec- tions raise no substantial and material issues with respect to the conduct of the ballots or the'Election Report. The Objections are hereby overruled.
