F. L. Case No. R-1758 SUPPLEMENTAL DECISION AND ORDER July 12, 1940 On April 17, 1940, the National Labor Relations Board, herein called the Board, issued a Decision and Direction of Election' in the above -entitled case . Pursuant to the Direction of Election, an election by secret ballot was conducted on May 14, 1940 , under the direction and supervision of the Regional Director for the Seventh Region ( Detroit, Michigan ). On July 1, 1940 , the Regional Di- rector, acting pursuant to Article III, Section 9, of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended , issued and duly served upon the parties an Election Report. No objections to the conduct of the ballot or the Election Report have been filed by any of the parties. As to the balloting and its results , the Regional Director reported as follows: Total on eligibility list-------------------------------------- 24 Total ballots cast------------------------------------------ 24 Total ballots challenged------------------------------------ 2 Total blank ballots----------------------------------------- 0 Total void ballots------------------------------------------ 0 Total valid votes cast--------------------------------------- 22 Votes cast for Local B-1063,. International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, affiliated with American Federation of Labor---------------------------------------------------- 11 Votes cast against Local B-1063, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, affiliated with American Federation of Labor---------------------------------------------------- 11 On June 21, 1940, the voters who cast the challenged ballots filed with the Regional Director a request , and the parties herein filed a 122 N L R B 1043. 25 N. L. R. B., No. 46. 345 346 DECISIONS OF NATIONAL LABOR RELATION'S BOARD stipulation providing, that the challenged ballots should not be counted and should be destroyed unopened. The Board hereby ap- proves the stipulation. The results of the election show that no collective bargaining rep- resentative has been selected by a majority of the employees in the appropriate unit. The petition for investigation and certification of representatives of employees of Bull Dog Electric Products Coln- pany, Hamtramck , Michigan , will, therefore , be dismissed. ORDER By virtue of Section 9 (c) of the National Labor Relations Act, 49 Stat. 449 , and pursuant to Article III, Sections 8 and 9, of Na- tional Labor Relations Board , Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the petition for investigation and certifi- cation of representatives of employees of Bull Dog Electric Products Company, Hamtramck, Michigan, filed by Local B-1063, Interna- tional Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, affiliated with the A.
