R-1345 and XVI-C-491 ORDER SEVERING CASES AND PERMITTING WITH- DRAWAL OF PETITION August 24, 1940 The Board, on July 12, 1939, having issued a Decision and Direc- tion of Election in Case No. R-1345, and, on July 24, 1939, having issued an Amendment to Direction of Election, an election having been held on August 4, 1939, the Board on May 13, 1940, having or- dered that a hearing be held in Case No. R-1345 on the Objections to the Election Report of the Regional Director for the Sixteenth Region, and having ordered that Case No. R-1345 be referred to the Regional Director for the Sixteenth Region for the purposes of such hearing; charges and amended charges, pursuant to Section 10 (b) of the Act, having been filed in Case No. XVI-C-491; the Board, on May 13, 1940, having ordered that Case No. R-1345 be consolidated with Case No. XVI-C-491; and, thereafter, the Packinghouse Work- ers Organizing Committee having requested permission to withdraw its petition filed in Case No. R-1345, and the Board being advised in the premises and deeming it necessary in order to effectuate the purposes of the Act, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, pursuant to Article II, Section 36 (d) and. Article III, Section 10 (c) (4), of National Labor Relations Board Rules and Regulations-Series 2, as amended, that Case No. R-1345 be,.and it hereby is, severed from Case No. XVI-C-491; and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the request of Packinghouse Workers Organizing Committee for permission to withdraw its petition in Case No. R-1345 be, and it hereby is, granted, and that the aforesaid case be, and it hereby is, closed. 26 N.
